AVID

AVID Secondary equips teachers and schools with what they need to help students who desire to go to college and are willing to work hard.  Students receive academic, social, and emotional guidance to help them succeed in their school’s most rigorous courses. Often, AVID students will be the first in their families to attend college and are from groups traditionally underrepresented in higher education. 

The power of AVID Secondary is the ability to impact  all students. AVID Secondary can affect the entire school by providing classroom activities, teaching practices, and academic behaviors that can be incorporated into any classroom to improve student engagement and success.
